ABOUT ME

Edward Frumkin has wanted to tell fiction and nonfiction stories since he was in the first grade. After graduating at Mundelein High School, he decided that he wanted to make documentaries at the world’s oldest journalism school at the University of Missouri. He learns this through the Missouri Method to get people’s voices heard. He is taught under Doc-J Program director Stacey Woelfel and Filmmaker In-Chief Robert Greene at MU’s Jonathan B. Murray Center for Documentary Journalism. His main medium to tell these stories are through video, but is capable of using any other digital means in audio and photography to get a narrative made. With a moving image that can convey a variety of emotions to audiences, it gave Edward a passion to make visual, cinematic stories and a dream to work in the film industry after he graduates. In May 2021, Edward earned two Bachelor’s degrees; in Journalism with an emphasis on Documentary and in Film Production.
